Review - Heartbreaking Dawns Hot Sauces

Heartbreaking Dawns
is an up-and-coming sauce maker hailing from upstate New York. They're steadily making themselves known to the fiery foods world with an intriguing assortment of hot sauces: Classic Gold, Mango Habanero and Jalapeno Pineapple. They and I made our initial communication via Twitter (hey, who says that the social networking giant has no merit?) and before you know it, I had a package of their hot sauces in my hands. Here is my take on each one individually...

Crazy Uncle Jester’s Angelfire Bhut Jolokia Buffalo Wing Sauce (14oz./397g): This great flavored Wing Sauce gets its flavor from the World Famous Bhut Jolokia Pepper but without the insane heat. Ingredients: Aged cayenne peppers, chiles, vinegar, soy oil, hydrogenated soy oil, soy lecithin, water, salt, garlic, natural flavor, spices, citric acid, bhut jolokia.

Manufacturer: Crazy Uncle Jester's        Category:  Wing Sauce
Price: $6.50

Oaxacan Hot Sauce (5 FL.OZ. / 148ml): When Cortez discovered the vast food markets of the Aztec Empire, he was astonished at the variety of flavors that this new land of the Quetzalqoatl had to offer. Our taco-style Oaxacan Hot Sauce pays tribute to both the bold spirit of the Aztec warriors and those willing to sail half-way around the world to reveal their secrets. Ingredients: Vinegar, Chile Peppers, Brown Sugar, Garlic, Salt, Onion, Cumin.

Manufacturer: CaJohns Fiery Foods         Category: Hot Sauce, Heat Rating 7
Price: $5.25
